You are warmly welcome to the website of the Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Rome, Italy.

The Embassy takes care of the interests of the sending state (Ghana) in the receiving state (Italy) as well as its countries of concurrent accreditations. These countries are Slovenia, Serbia, Montenegro and San Marino.

The Embassy is also accredited to the Rome based United Nation's Agencies i.e. Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), World Food Programme ( WFP) and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD).

CANCELLATION OF ALL APPOINTMENTS FOR CONSULAR SERVICES

The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana in Rome wishes to inform that it is putting in place measures for the commencement of the Online Application and Appointment System for all Consular Services soon. In this connection, from 22nd September, 2020 all previously scheduled appointments for Consular Services obtained either by telephone or email would no longer be valid.

Effective 22nd September, 2020, the Embassy will cease the extension of Expired Passports.  All applicants for Passports, Registration Certificate and Consular Documents (Attestations and Declarations) who had previously scheduled appointments after 22nd September, 2020 are kindly advised to wait for the commencement of the Online Application and Appointment System to reapply for new dates.

All prospective applicants are encouraged to monitor the Embassy’s website www.ghanaembassy.it for any further updates.

PREPARATIONS FOR THE ROLL OUT OF THE BIOMETRIC PASSPORTS REGIME

The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana, Rome, wishes to inform the general public that preparations are far advanced towards the issuance of biometric passports here in Rome. This requires the setting up of the system and training of the Consular staff. In addition, the completion of all the administrative procedures to ensure the smooth transition to the new system for effective commencement of the regime.

NOTICE - REVIEW OF PASSPORT PROCESSING FEES

THE EMBASSY OF THE REPUBLIC OF GHANA, ROME, WISHES TO INFORM THE GENERAL PUBLIC THAT THE GOVERNMENT OF GHANA HAS, IN RESPONSE TO CONCERNS OF THE LEVEL OF CHARGES IN RESPECT OF PASSPORT PROCESSING FEES AND THE NEED FOR STANDARDIZATION OF THE ISSUING REGIME, APPROVED AS SET OUT BELOW, NEW PROCESSING FEES FOR PASSPORTS WITH EFFECT FROM 1st JULY 2020.

NOTICE - EVACUATION OF STRANDED GHANAIAN NATIONALS

The Embassy of the Republic of Ghana wishes to inform the general public that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration in Accra, has made arrangements with KLM Royal Dutch Airlines for all Ghanaian nationals in this Embassy’s areas of accreditation, i.e. Italy, Serbia, Montenegro, Slovenia and San Marino, to be evacuated from Amsterdam to Ghana on Saturday 27th June, 2020.

In this connection, all interested persons would be expected to travel to Amsterdam to join the flight and must have paid for the cost of reservations at the following hotels:
